It has taken me this long to find a few moments to update our website. Josh has done the last few postings and I think I might have to talk to him about some of the pictures that he chose to put on the website of me at the hospital...not too flattering :-) Oh well.
I was planning on putting up some pictures of Aila's room before she was born so you all could see it. Its blue and green with sea turtles and starfish. Its very bright! We wanted a gender neutral room, but one that was very not neutral/pastel colors...I think we got it. I think Aila likes it too.
Aila is still a very good baby. She doesn't sleep through the night yet, she'll sleep about 4-5 hours at night before she wakes up wanting to eat. During the day she gets up every 3-3.5 hours to eat and she sleeps quite often between feedings. If she is going to stay awake, is generally for 20min to an hour (sometimes 2-3 hours) in the morning and the evening and thats about it. Since some of you who have gotten to meet her have still never seen her little eyes because she was sleeping, I snapped a few pictures of her. Of course soon afterward, she yawned and went back to sleep.
Aila is growing fast. She was born at 6lbs 11 oz on Dec 1st and was down to 6lbs 3oz by the time she left the hospital. She was back to her birth weight by the time she was 10 days old. On December 22nd she was 7lbs and then two weeks later at her one month check up on Jan 5th she was 8lbs 8.5oz! She put on a pound and a half in two weeks! She is noticeably heavier and chubbier to me.
