Aila still really enjoys "reading" by herself. She now goes to sit and read in her ladybug bean bag chair that Grammy Robin got her for her birthday. Aila also enjoys her daily story times before naps and bedtime when she doesn't have to do all the reading herself.
Aila has her own toddler-size Swiffer. She has been helping tidy up the kitchen. I guess I didn't realize when I took this clip that I can't rotate the video like I do pictures...just turn your head sideways to see it right side up.
Aila's new favorite toy is all the plastic containers in the kitchen. We have cabinet locks on all the cabinets but she has figured out that she can get the doors open about an inch and a half, squeeze her little arm in and pull out lids. So I just gave in and let her have an assortment of plastic containers and the lids. I was surprised at how well she was matching the correct container with the correct lid.
