Aila's first dentist appointment

Aila went to the dentist for the first time yesterday. Usually they don't see kids till closer to 2 (she's 21 months), but I was a little concerned about her teeth. Four of her molars came in all at once when she was around 14 months old or so (the 1yr molars). And her teeth on her upper right side are crammed and crooked. She has a big space between the molar on the upper right and the front right incisors and canine. Her other teeth are spaced a little better in her mouth and there is no big gap. Well, there's a tooth popping in through the space between her molar and the upper right teeth and I was wondering what was going on (there shouldn't have been a tooth coming in there). I found out that the 4 molars that came in all at once were actually three 1 yr molars and one 2yr molar. So the tooth popping through is a late 1 yr molar. Her teeth have erupted in a weird pattern on the top so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I'm just hoping that her crooked teeth straighten out some as she grows.

I'm 34 weeks pregnant. I definitely know it! I haven't been keeping up with the blog at all. Not too much longer and I'll be a mommy to 2 little kidos. I still have a list of things a mile long that I want to get done. The home improvement projects that I hoped to get done this summer are sort of done, mostly started and not finished. Those are Josh's domain...I just dictate what is to be done. Some of it isn't his fault. The weather hasn't cooperated or we went for a family outing or we booked up every weekend with something or he had to drill (ooops...I mean waste his time) with the Army on a weekend. And I guess he is allowed to take a break once in awhile.

Anyhow, I'm ready for this baby and not ready at the same time. I just can't believe how quick this pregnancy is going. This weekend I plan to finish up some pages in Aila's baby book. Before long I'll have another one to fill out! I'm afraid that poor baby's Christmas stocking isn't going to get done before Christmas. It took me about a year to do each of Josh's, mine and Aila's. Baby's is just barely started. I should have not stopped when I did Aila's. It was done all but the name before she was even conceived. I'll just do my best and hopefully baby will forgive me if I don't get it done this year.

Josh has been watching Cora almost every Thursday so that Aila gets to play with another girl her age regularly. Aila asks for Cora all the time. Here they are coloring at the picnic table.

Aila decided that sitting on top of the folded laundry was a comfy place to be. Dessa got to come too.
Aila & Cora go on a wagon ride.
